Corn Chowder Soup Recipe Using Thrive Life

When it snows 6" on an April morning in Utah, there's nothing better than a homemade soup! This soup was the perfect thing I needed today on this cold spring morning. Heck there's nothing better than a creamy soup on any day! This is definitely a family favorite. This soup is one of the easiest recipes, and using Thrive Life freeze-dried food just makes it that much easier.

I'm gonna take this paragraph to RAVE about Thrive Life! I cannot express how Thrive Life has changed my cooking habits. I dreaded cooking before I started using Thrive, but now that I can use pre-chopped fruits and vegetables that taste just as good as fresh I'm never going back! If you're a lazy cook like me, look into Thrive Life and you may just love it as much as me! For this recipe I used Thrive Sweet Corn, Potato Dices, and Chicken Bouillon.

Ingredients

2 cups Thrive Potato Chunk

1 cup Thrive Sweet Corn

9 tsp Thrive Chicken Bouillon

1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup

1 Package Kielbasa Sausage Cut into Slices

1 8 oz Package of Cream Cheese

9 cups Water

Alternatively, you can swap out the Thrive vegetables for fresh vegetables. It'll be the same measurements as above for the veggies, but use 6 teaspoons of Chicken Bouillon and 6 cups of water instead.

Step by Step Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except cream cheese in a large pot.

  2. Simmer for about 20 minutes on the stove-top. (2 hours in a crock pot.)

  3. Stir in cream cheese and let it melt for an additional 5 minutes. I find it helpful to cut the cream cheese into smaller cubes to help it melt faster. (Let cheese melt for 1 hour in crock pot.)

  4. Once the cream cheese has melted into the soup, you're ready to dish it up and enjoy! :)
