Five Thrive Favorites

Today I want to talk about five of my favorite Thrive foods. Some of my first Thrive orders were a bit random. I purchased a variety of foods so I could try them out and see what my family used and what was going to sit on the shelf a bit longer. There are a few things that have proven to be more useful to us. All freeze-dried food will have a wonderful shelf life and help you prevent wasting food. Thrive just happens to be our brand of choice for its flavor, and accessibility. I thought it would be useful to share five of our favorites for others to try. Also, to see some practical ways we regularly use Thrive in our home.

1. Thrive Chopped Onions

It isn't a secret that I love the Thrive chopped onions. There is even a blog post I wrote solely about the majesty of these lovely onions. I figure they should be the number one pick on my list of five favorites. Thrive chopped onions save me so much time. There is no cutting, crying, or corroding. Any dish you would use a chopped onion in, Thrive onions do the trick. They are frequently used at our house because of the wide range of meals that use onions.

2. Thrive Chicken Dices

I love having a can of Thrive Chicken Dices in the pantry. It is not used as frequently as many of the fruits and vegetables we have, but it has saved my dinner too many times to not make the list. Having a can of precooked and cut chicken that won't go bad is the home chef's dream! We can all agree that even chicken frozen in the freezer gets a little funky after a bit. When that happens you just chuck it. Sometimes I even go as far as cooking it with my fingers crossed and a prayer on the frying pan, only to see that it is past saving and too funky fresh for me. Then, like throwing money in the trash, I have to toss it in the bin. On those nights, or the nights when I haven't remembered to buy chicken, or the nights when I haven't remembered to thaw chicken in time, I have the perfect chicken, in my pantry, that will be ready in 10 minutes. It is amazing.

3. Thrive sweet Corn

Corn is something I like to keep on hand for several of our dinners. It goes in many dishes like, casseroles, taco meat, soups, and sides. I use canned corn sometimes but many times I don't need or use a whole can. I feel like a meal can easily be overwhelmed with corn when I use the whole can. Thrive Sweet Corn gives me the freedom to add only what I need and save the rest. It is also a cleaner option than many canned options because it doesn't have any added sugar, salt or juice to preserve it. The flavor is great, so good that the Thrive corn even makes a delicious crunchy snack when eaten dry. It prevents wasted corn, provides a healthy snack and is cleaner. Who could ask for more?

4. Thrive Green Peas

There is only one real reason the peas made my list of five favorites. It is a yummy healthy snack. Freeze dried peas are a great place to start if you want to find a healthy snack. They are sweet, and the texture is fun. My 2-year-old will snack on them too, and I am always glad for a way to get extra veggies in her. If she is pretending to be a cat, she will get upset if I use anything but Thrive Green Peas for her "cat treats". They have the added bonus of being versatile so I can use them for meals. I will be honest and tell you we mostly use them as a snack. It is a fully guiltless snack, because it is a green vegetable that has all the nutritional benefits of fresh peas.

5. Thrive Blueberries

The last of my 5 Thrive favorites, is the beloved blueberry. If you want to buy one can of Thrive to try and sample something freeze dried, for a healthy snack, or just to eat something delicious, then I recommend a can of Thrive Blueberries. They are so good! They are sweet, full of flavor, and perfectly crunchy right out of the can. I read somewhere that when you start having kids, no one prepares you for the quantity of berries your toddler will consume. This holds true at our house. In the winter, fresh berries are off season and expensive, in the summer we go through the fresh berries really fast, and we can't always travel with them conveniently. Thrive blueberries won't go bad, they still taste great in our morning oatmeal, and we can eat them dry or rehydrate them when we are on the go. If you haven't already, you must try a Thrive freeze-dried blueberry because it will change your life.

Bonus Favorite

Thrive Chef Choice Seasoning

This is a bonus because you can't get it anywhere but from Thrive and I love it too much to exclude. It has been another game changer at our house. Not just my house either, my parents are obsessed with this seasoning. Let's be clear, this is a freeze-dried seasoning, not your everyday can of dried seasoning that is flavorless in a few weeks. A freeze-dried seasoning equates to more flavor and a 25-year shelf life. It is savory, delicious, and good on almost anything. We use it on burgers, chicken, soups, and in some salads, my mom uses it on anything they grill, even pork chops. When you try Thrive Chef's Choice Seasoning be sure to order an extra can for the parental figures in your life. They will definitely appreciate it as much as you do, probably even more!

This is my list of five current Thrive favorites, plus a bonus. Comment down below if you think there is a different Thrive favorite I should have in my top five or if you agree with my selection. Give one or all five of these a try if you haven't yet, they haven't disappointed me yet.
