Healthy Snacks

How to use Thrive Life food as a heathy snack, whether at home, on the go, or on vacation.

Snack with Thrive Life!

While working as a nurse doing my 12-hour night shifts, I often remember wishing I had a healthy snacks. I noticed I would either eat crummy or just not eat at all during these longs shifts. I also noticed others around me snacking all night... chips, candy bars, sodas, or left over food from dinner. My mind was blown and I remember thinking, "We would not be eating at all if we were sleeping, but because we are up, we think we need to be snacking." This leads to feeling yucky, gaining weight, moodiness, and many other health problems. So why not find that healthy snack that our bodies will thank us for.

So what do you think of when you hear healthy snack?

Fruits

Vegetables

Nuts

All foods that need, washing, peeling, and cutting right?? Wrong,

Thrive Life has all of that taken care of for you. The produce is picked at its peak, cleaned, peeled, cut, and freeze dried, locking all those important nutrients in and ready for your kiddos to enjoy!

This is quite the list of perks, right? :)

As a Mom of little kids, I am always trying to help my kiddos choose healthy snacks. This can be quite the task, especially when the rest of the world shows snacks as

candy bars and chips.

Healthy snacks should be easy and yummy, because we all know the phrase....

"Mom, I'm hungry!"

So how can I find a healthy snack that I know my kiddos will love? THRIVE LIFE!!

Picking a Thrive Snack

We have been very lucky to have had Thrive Life in our family life for over 10 years now. We love it! We especially love the convenience of it. Our kids love to pick a can of grapes, bananas, sweet corn, and many others to open and enjoy on a picnic or in lunches. It's especially fun to think that your kids can eat some of those fruits and veggies that your're not likely to pack in the car for a road trip. For example, how often do you pack corn as a snack...? Never because you have to cook it right? Well let me just say that the Thrive Life sweet corn is a favorite snack that we have taken to many locations including church, family gatherings, and road trips. I remember once at a family gathering, we got some strange looks, and some cousins were curious and tried some... needless to say we ran out of our corn very fast.

Snackies

There are so many ways to use Thrive Life as a healthy snack. We like to just crack open a pantry can and share it, but Thrive Life also has a line called "Snackies". It's all your favorite snacks in a personal pouch ready to take and go! They are the perfect snack! I love that when you turn the bag around to read the ingredients all you will find is what fruit or veggie that you are snacking on, no long list of ingredients that you have never heard of. I like to actually know what I am putting in my body let alone my kids bodies!

Vacation

You know when you are on vacation and you have eaten out several times you start to crave something green, fresh, HEALTHY!!! Yes This is how I felt most of the time when we used to travel. But now we throw in our Thrive snacks and we do have a healthy snack! This would not be possible without Thrive. I mean when do you get to have fresh pineapple, strawberries, or corn in the car on your way to Disneyland? You could also try mixing some into a Thrive Trail mix!! :) Just think, some coconut bites, strawberries, pineapple, peaches, and add some nuts. It would be delicious!

Plus you could take Thrive meals and then you could have a warm healthy hearty meal, just by adding water!

Snack Healthier!

I know that trying new things is hard, I totally get that. But guys this is something that is so easy! I actually don't think it could get any easier. ;) Try it today. Let's help us and our kids snack healthy!

Today while you're snacking, I want to challenge you to read the ingredients on the back.... do you actually know what they are? Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Sodium Nitrite, High-Fructose Corn Syrup, Sodium, Artificial Food Coloring (did you know some coloring has been shown to cause hyperactivity in some children along with allergic reactions in others.)

I personally like knowing what I am eating.... Try Thrive Life as your healthy snack today! We would love to know what you think!

Loved this post! One of the things that surprises me the most (it shouldn't) is how my mood is affected by what I eat. It's so obvious. So of course, kids would be affected too!
